John 15:4
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
So....here's the question that's been ringing in my ears for two days now:
Does my life bear fruit, much fruit and fruit that is abundant? We cannot expect to help lead people to Christ if we ourselves are not showing all the goodness and joy that comes from following HIM, and with that, bearing fruit.
It bothers me to hear someone say something like "I am grateful to God for blessing me," but then bears no fruit to show God their "gratefulness." Our gift of salvation came at a price, and the LEAST we can do is to show how eternally grateful we are by bearing fruit, being obedient to HIS word, and spreading the truth to any and all who cross our paths.Dear Lord,
Help me to bear the fruit in my life that you so desire to see. Help that fruit be an example to others of the work you do in my life on a daily basis. Help me to show my gratitude to YOU with purpose, love and obedience. In Jesus' name I pray...
Amen
