A few things in my world

First off, where the heck have I been? I can't believe it's been almost a month and a half since my last post! I guess it's been all the fun summer activities, family reunions and extra time with my hubby that did it! Here's just a taste of what I've been filling my days with....

Ok...this first picture is of Kayla on the 4th of July. It was her first horse ride all by herself. She LOVED it. I think we may have an aquestrian on our hands!

The next one is of me and my best friend/sister hanging out poolside with her precious little ones, Jack and Ruby. We spent a very short but blessed weekend with her and her whole family in Asheville about a month ago. What a fun time we had!

Next we have miss Kayla aka My little Astronaut at the Science Center...what a fun day that was!

Ok, next batch. Here is David feeding and petting a giraffe! A giraffe people! We went to a place called Lazy 5 Ranch where you either drive through in your own vehicle or you go on a tour in a horse drawn wagon. It was pretty amazing and the animals were VERY friendly. We saw llamas, goats, pigs, zebras, emus, water buffalo, giraffes, cows, gazelles, and more! We will definitly be going back!

Then there's this bunch of hicks....oh, I mean my in laws! We always take themed or matching pictures at the summer family reunion in Texas, and this year's theme was "On the farm." If we didn't love each other as much as we do, it might have been a giant headache to do this and to spend a week under one roof with all 20 of them, but it was a blast! I'm already looking forward to next year!

Next is this GIGANTIC spider! He or she was waiting for us on our back deck when we got back from TX. I imediatly looked it up online to make sure it was safe. It is a common garden spider, sometimes referred to as a writing spider. This thing is huge! The colors on it are so bright, I just had to capture it to share!

Ok, ok...last batch. First off is my cute family. One of our favorite things to do together (indoors) is cuddle up on the couch with some popcorn and watch a movie. Hope we're not creating a couple of couch potatos! LOL

Next is a beautiful stained glass that my sister Kate made for my birthday. I got it in the morning so I quickly put it on the window to catch the morning rays. Simply beautiful!

Last, but not least....my newest toy. I can't even believe how small it is! I know I'll get hours of fun outta this! Thanks Hubby, Lauren and Kate for blessing me with it!

So, that somewhat catches us up to date. I promise to never let this long go between posts again!

Blessings,

Ali
