Lord, You are so good to your children. We don't deserve any of it, but yet you keep pouring it out on us in abundance. Above all else, I am thankful for your saving grace. "For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8
I am also thankful, this day, for.....
~2 beautiful, healthy children who have a deep love for life and Jesus
~A beautiful home, filled with love, laughter and God
~The opportunity and blessing to teach my children from home
~A new church family
~Cooler temperatures
~Opportunities to glorify and serve HIM daily

A splashing good time!

I can't say I've been to a splash park before (some call them splash pads) We discovered that there was one only about 5 minutes from us the other day. Actually, it was the last day of September, which meant it was the last day the splash park would be up and running for the season. After a very full, and tiring day at the registration office and mechanics shop (getting TX registration, tags and inspection) I thought it only fair to reward the girls with a fun time at the park. Needless to say, they had an absolute BLAST! We had the park all to ourselves for almost 45 minutes before anyone else even showed up. Can't wait to go back again and again next year! Best part? It's FREE!!!!!! Here's a few of my favorite pics from our fun day...

Our Homeschooling adventure begins!

That's right! As of this week, we have officially begun our homeschooling adventure! I recieved "Little Hands to Heaven" last weekend and was so excited to finally have some structure to my teaching. Although I did begin teaching a few weeks ago (letter recognition, writing, numbers, etc) I was so glad to have "officially" started this week. To be able to start each day off in our "classroom" together, reading and learning about the word of God, math, writing, etc, all the while having a BLAST, has been such an enormous blessing! This week's theme was all about Creation, and the letter 'A.' The girls have loved it so far! Here's a few shots of Wednesday's craft....

Craft Playdate Fun

Well, this week I hosted a craft playdate at my house for the first time with my new mom's group. I had the idea to make treasure bottles, a craft we made at MOPS in NC last year. There were 5 other mommies and 10 other kiddos, so we had a full house indeed! We had alot of fun making them, and the kiddos had lots of fun dragging out literally every toy in our house! I was so tired at the end of the night, I could barely keep my eyes open! Here are a few pics of the fun we had!

Slumber party with Daddy

This past Saturday, we started what will most likely be a new tradition with the girls and their daddy....slumber party night! It was daddy's idea, too (nothing I had to rope him into!) When he went to the store to get some yummy snacks, the girls were so excited they could hardly sit still. We all climbed into our jammas, made a bunch of greasy, but yummy snacks, set up our pallet on the floor, got all 15 stuffed animal friends out, and watched "hotel for dogs." I was convinced that no one would be getting any sleep that night, but boy was I wrong! Those girls snuggled right up to their daddy after the movie was over, and they were out for the count! I even got to sneak in after everyone was asleep and snap a quick pic!It was a great night of fun...and it only cost 1.08! Thank you Redbox! Looking forward to many more slumber parties in the future....

Wha?!

The girls were playing in the playroom the other day while I was making dinner. They were getting along and giggling alot, which was a very welcomed change from the usual biting, pushing and yelling they tend to do, so I just stayed in the kitchen listening to their sweet sounds of laughter. Well, I could hear that they were playing some sort of "let's pack for our trip" game, so I decided to check on them after a bit. This is what I found.....it's so completely random! I laughed so hard when I saw how they had put so much toddler thought into their "packing." Hope it brings a smile to your day!!
Just as a side not, my favorite part is the monkey chillin' in the pot....like he's in a hot tub or something!
