A tiny piece of heaven...

A snapshot of our sky the other day...I love it when the clouds block the sun just so! It feels like a preview of what heaven will be like.....

Just as a side note, it may be HOT as all else here in TX, but I have seen some of the most beautiful skies and sunsets since being here! "Deep in the heart of Texas!"

Now THAT'S what I call a workout!

I love my husband. I love that even after a 10 hour work day, he still has the energy to come home and not only work out, but include the girls in his workout, making it more of a play time for them! Seriously.....this guy is awesome...and pretty easy on the eyes too! =)

Home sweet home!

God is good people! Not only did HE find ways to keep constant provision for us financially during the 4 months that David was out of work, but HE then led us to a job, located in the largest Army post in the states (keep in mind David has been called to be an Army Chaplin and will be going through more schooling to do so) and then, just to really confirm things further, led us to a house that is absolutely a perfect fit for us! We found (He led), made an offer, accepted the counter offer and moved in all in a matter of 1 week. To make the process even more delightful. our realtor is a fellow believer and we were able to share and discuss many things concerning our faith with her, which is always a blessing! Needless to say, we are beyond words for what our AWESOME, loving, gracious and merciful Father has done for us.....

Look what I made!

Ok...yes, I am tooting my own horn a bit here, but check out the cake I made last week for an early 4th celebration! Pretty cool, right? Also, the cake was made FROM SCRATCH, so I'm pretty proud of that as well. I think I'll make this a new tradition....

Farm fun activities

Just a few pictures of us around the farm, doin', well, farm stuff! =)
Kayla riding Woody the horse, going to see Gabby the goose, holding one of the baby goats, riding the big swing, picking blueberries, and standing in front of the growing corn crop. The girls sure are building some pretty cool memories while we're here!

Chicken snake, anyone?

Ok, kind of a gross story, but the girl's Pawpaw shot a chicken snake the other day. It had gotten into the chicken/duck/dove pin and unfortunately, had already dined on one of the doves. Pawpaw shot it right between the eyes, cut the belly open to get the dove out, and strung it up so we could all see his kill. =)
Before hanging it up, he measured it, just for record of course.....
5 feet 4 inches! That's one big chicken snake! The girls were amazed and wanted to know why it had so many flies on it. I told them the flies were having "snake buffet." Here they are with the snake in the background. It's the thing next to the green garden hose.
